Hey there, I wanted to just record a quick little episode that you hopefully can save whenever you need a little pep talk or whenever you're feeling down, because I'm having this conversation over and over. And I thought, you know what, if I'm having this conversation with a couple of different people, then you probably need to hear it too, or maybe not right this minute, but you might need to hear it eventually. And here's my little pep talk. If you are feeling like you're ready to burn it all to the ground, or you feel like I am
just push, push. You are in this mode where you cannot stop and you cannot stop pushing and pushing and you are just operating from this place of, you know, push, that's all I can think of. It's not desperation. I think it comes across as slightly desperate, but it's really just that push, promote, push, blah, blah. I'm DMing people and you're feeling like you're not getting any results. Here's what I want you to do.
I want you to walk away. Walk away, take a day off, take a weekend off, delete all the apps from your phone, put up an away message on your email, delete it all. Like off for me, I have to turn my phone off. You can use inbox pause, there's tools. I literally, I just deleted Facebook off my phone again the other day. I'm telling you, it's scary.
I know you're going to give me a million reasons why you can't do it, but I'm telling you the clarity that comes when you give yourself time to just take a break and walk away from all of it is going to really help you get unstuck and it's going to help results come in. You cannot get results when you're in that constant state of push, push.
And then you just, the more you don't get results and the more you push and the harder you push and then the more you don't get results, the harder you, the more you get disappointed. Overall, your whole energy, everything just changes. And at any given point, I have told every single one of my clients to do this and I can tell you as hard as it is, as much as they balk at it, as much as they tell me I could never do that, oh my God, this is so scary, I don't think I can do it. What if, what if, what if I miss a message? I'm telling you, every time you can do it.
Michelle (:you're going to feel better and things are going to, you're going to gain clarity. You're going to come back feeling refreshed. You're going to come back feeling with like you had time to think your brain is going to actually start firing on all cylinders again. You're going to start getting inundated with creative ideas, but you can't do that when you are in that hard state of push, push. So go take a break, lock your phone up and give it to somebody else.
Tell all your family members, I'm turning my phone off, call my husband if you need me, call whatever I mean. Put it on Do Not Disturb. If you need your phone for emergency family situations, great, delete all the apps off your phone. Delete Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, whatever platform you're on, I want them all off. Not just turning your notifications off, because no, you know you're gonna still click on it and you're gonna look and you're gonna scroll and you're gonna get into all of that. I'm telling you, like, off, away, email.
everything, nothing to do with business. Go read a fiction novel, go watch Netflix for the entire weekend. Don't feel guilty about it, just go do it, all right? It's a challenge, but I promise you, you will feel so much better, so, so much better, okay? So that's my little pep talk, that's my little kick in the ass, whatever you wanna call it, that's my challenge for you if you're feeling like, oh my God, nothing is working.
Walk away, walk away, turn it all off, take a break. Give yourself some credit. All right, I'll talk to you soon.
